Vixens Break

Wilhelm Scream Break

We here at Team Unwinnable love Stormtroopers, screaming and trivia (yes, in that order). Given a chance to mix ‘em together, we’re happier than a non-CG’d wampa in a little-touched cut of Empire.

You all know it – the Stormtrooper death scream. And you’ve also heard it in many other movies and thought, “Hey, that’s the Stormtrooper death scream.” Well, we’re here to tell you you’re wrong. Kind of. (more…)

Tentaclii Break

It being Halloween, it stands to reason that Lovecraft and his tentacled horrors aren’t far from my mind. I’ve spent quite a bit of time over the weekend trolling about Lovecraftian sites thanks to the 300-link directory assembled by David Haden on Tentaclii. The rest of the blog is pretty swell, too! Stop by and get your eldritch on.

Street Fight Break

Take They Might Be Giants, add in Rip Torn, hot sauce and street fight and what you have is a grand total of awesome. (more…)

T is for Turbo-Break

Drafthouse Films presents another awesome installment in their series, The ABCs of Death! T is for Turbo is a splatterrific funfest in the vein of Hobo With a Shotgun. (more…)

Sculpture Break

We here at Team Unwinnable like to be awed. We like to be amazed. And while you may think we’re just a bunch of videogame addicts, from time to time we do like to class it up with artsy stuff. (more…)

Love Break

Unwinnable is a labor of love. When I was at GDC 2011 back in March, it was pretty obvious that game design is a labor of love for many of the indie developers who give up regular jobs and normal personal relationships to make games. It was there that I first heard about Paul Graham’s essay “How to Do What You Love.” I read it and immediately knew I was doing the right thing with Unwinnable.

Maybe you should read it too.
