Ready for the Weekend 10/19/12
October 19th, 2012 | By: Team Unwinnable
Today in 1987 was Black Monday – the stock market took a nosedive and dropped over 500 points. Obviously today is not a Monday, nor is it black. Weekend time!
Stu Horvath: I am beginning to have trouble distinguishing between the members of Team Unwinnable and the commandos who share their names in XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Last night at the bar, Chuck didn’t have his sniper rifle at all, but when I got shot in the leg, George totally had healing spray on him. I don’t know what’s going on. I should probably get more sleep.
Chuck Moran: I will be recording a podcast with A Jumps B Shoots on Friday and will be doing Unlistenable on Saturday. I will also try on a suit with Stu Horvath. Then we will eat a hearty lunch. I will then prepare for my vacation to Disney next week. There, in Orlando, I will look at other people and feel much better about my self-image. I will also not eat a turkey leg and pretend to be King Henry.
John McGuire: This weekend I’ll be going to see Murder By Death (as myself), to a costume party (as Finn the Human) and to work (in uniform).
Ian Gonzales: This weekend I’m going to an Oktoberfest/Costume party where I’ll be imbibing all manner of fall beers. I would also like to see Argo.
Don Becker: No 5K this weekend. After finishing last week’s in under 30 minutes, I’ll take a well-deserved rest by seeing future Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Rush at the Prudential Center.
Matt Marrone: The 2012 New York Yankees’ misery is at an end, and so is mine. Here’s to sleep and possibly Paranormal Activity 4.
Ken Lucas: I will be donning my finest nightmare-inducing mask, hiding in the darkness and jumping out at random people. Then I will be immersed in my lab to concoct some unnatural music just in time for Halloween.
Mark Mariano: Wait a sec, 24-Hour Comics Day is THIS Saturday? Sorry I missed that memo. So they changed it from the first Saturday in October? Oh well. I enjoyed doing mine, I hope you enjoy doing yours. I’ll be guest speaking at Rutgers on comics and blogging today. Tomorrow, we pick apples and survive a maize maze.
Steve Haske: Work, work, work! No rest for the wicked, I suppose. Also Seven Psychopaths at some point.
Richard Clark: I am going to try my hardest not to be broken. I am also going to play a new card game called Smash Up, go to a college football game (Go Cards!) and I hope to see a couple of movies this weekend.
Nick Robinson: I’m participating in a ridiculous 24-hour-long drunk-as-hell charity livestream with a bunch of the Rev3Games folks this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m.! I’m also hopping over to New People in Japantown this weekend for a back-to-back double feature of Anime and More Anime. That sounds like a joke but it isn’t.
Sam Machkovech: I’m being quizzed about my seemingly endless fountain of Saved by the Bell trivia knowledge on Saturday morning for a buddy’s podcast. That is a real thing. As such, I’m hanging out at The Max until then.
that is such and awesome picture
