I'm always wary when I bring video games on a plane. Maybe it's because I'm not into heady games or anything too involved. Recently, I'd brought Super Street Fighter IV 3D on a plane trip and was just hoping the person next to me wouldn't see that my style was a pleasant mix of button mashing and repetitious combos I wouldn't dare pull off on a real person lest they reduce me to the early 90's insult of "cheeser". I didn't dare bring my Vita with Mortal Kombat, but did bring WipeOut for the Vita since it seemed more socially acceptable. I think at one point, I had brought Ghost Recon Shadow Wars 3DS on the plane but wasn't able to get in the zone enough to play it.

I wouldn't be afraid to state that I like Pokemon or am playing a Pokemon game. Any person that throws a judgemental look is simply not worth interacting with. Same goes with any other taste about any other thing.
