Ready for the Weekend 9/14/2012

On this day in 1959, the Soviet Union hit the moon with a tin can, making it the first man-made thing to touch the moon. What are you doing this weekend?

Stu Horvath: I am trying to wrap up Mark of the Ninja and there will be Borderlands 2 with Peter Rubin, but I am most excited about finally seeing Firewater live. Do you not know Firewater? Now is the perfect time. Seriously. You will not be disappointed.

Chuck Moran: This weekend, I will make some chicken, play Max Payne 3, download Mark of the Ninja and drink some drinks. I would also like to buy a new hat.

John McGuire: This weekend I am going to have an adventure.

Ian Gonzales: My second round of dental surgery begins. While recuperating, I’ll be reading Alien: The Illustrated Story by Archie Goodwin and Walt Simonson and Bill Sienkiewicz’s Dune comic. Remember when “official adaptations” were awesome?

Dave Trainer: I am taking Friday to reflect, sleep, clean and drink. The rest of the weekend: working. Call me if you want to do something fun. [Hi Dave, this is Stu, wanna go out tonight and get drunk? Dave: Cool.]

Don Becker: My cousin’s getting married. Jack and Cokes for all!

Matt Marrone: Drinking, drinking and drinking, and then heading upstate for my niece’s christening.

Ken Lucas: I will be in Brooklyn for a birthday party tomorrow. Some serious crafting is also on the menu.

Mark Mariano: I’m heading to Bethesda, Maryland, for SPX, an amazing comic convention. I will be a presenter at the Ignatz Awards Saturday night. Hope to see you there!

Brian Taylor: Sleeping and reading.

Steve Haske: I’m debating on going on an Assassin’s Creed binge. Alongside my usual articles. I’m also reading Chaucer, since I guess I’m a medieval literary kick or something. Forsooth!

Chris Dahlen: I’m going to finish Sleeping Dogs while the kid finishes Pokemon Conquest. I may get suckered into coaching soccer again. I may eat a burrito or two.

Richard Clark: The Jug Band Jubilee is this weekend! I am going to that.

Sam Machkovech: Sesame Street all night, National Geographic all day.

Brendan Keogh: Desperately trying to catch up on all the deadlines that caught up to me while I was spending 40+ hours on airplanes and in airports last week (Montreal is a lot further away from Melbourne than you might suspect), and playing as much Mark of the Ninja as I can fit in.

JPJP Grant: “Sesame Street all night?” Looks like it’s time to run yet another Sexual Offender Registry Information check on a member of Team Unwinnable.
