On July 20th, 1969, Neil Armstrong stepped on to the surface of the moon. He was a pretty cool guy and not afraid of anything. Go out this weekend and live life.
Stu Horvath: I will be continuing my unflagging obsession with The Secret World. Last weekend, Team Unwinnable fought Cthulhu and lost. This weekend, we will fight Cthulhu again. And probably lose. Ping me in the comments if you want in on that action.
Chuck Moran: I will hopefully start playing Secret World this weekend. I will also play the Cock Sparrer album Shock Troops over and over again. I would like to get a new hat and a sandwich. I will see Dark Knight Rises next week.
John McGuire: This weekend I will be going to a record swap and looking for adventure.
Ian Gonzales: One of my earliest memories is running around in Batman pajamas tackling my parents and grandparents. Of course I’m going to see the new Batman movie. I love that guy! Also, it’s my birthday weekend. I believe a Carvel Cookie Puss is in order.
Don Becker: I have a ticket to go see Zappa Plays Zappa and Primus among others in Bridgeport this weekend, but I could just as easily blow it all off for Batman.
Matt Marrone: Heading upstate for a family BBQ, then back to the city to shop for vintage women’s clothing and attend a soccer match at Yankee Stadium.
Ken Lucas: Twenty-six years ago, I went to the theater to see Aliens. Hopefully I’ll get to see the third film in Christopher Nolan’s Batman epic. I will also be continuing my Breaking Bad marathon as I am at the end of season 3. I finally finished my underground roller coaster in Minecraft, so I will finally return to the studio to record some new music.
Gus Mastrapa: There’s a Batman movie coming out?
J.P. Grant: I’ll be taking my first hesitant steps into the weird, wonderful world of e-sports under the expert tutelage of my pal Rob Zacny of the Three Moves Ahead podcast as we watch the MLG Starcraft II matches. Maybe I’ll finally learn what the hell a “6 pool rush” is!
Erik Weinbrecht: This weekend, like the rest of the free world, I will be going to see Mr. Nolan’s conclusion to his Batman trilogy. Christian Bale will yell, Tom Hardy will be breathy, and Morgan Freeman will be… narrative in nature.
Mark Mariano: I’ll be tubing down the Delaware River and having a fun weekend with friends in the Poconos! The only Batman I’ll be seeing is if we see a bear dressed like him.
Ryan Kuo: I’m headed to Cambridge to apartment hunt! My plan is to do a ton of editing on the bus, and take a bunch of turns in Outwitters and Hero Academy, and keep my eyes peeled for the Neuroshima Hex! update. I’ll also be listening to a metric ton of wistful hip-hop instrumentals for my girlfriend’s birthday mixtape. And thinking wistfully about Dyad.
Brian Taylor: Today I got my bowling ball and my passport. Who can say where the weekend will take me?
Steve Haske: I will be playing a bunch of shooters or something, also avoiding the Internet because of the Dark Knight Rises and waiting for the next Breaking Bad. I may eat or read something at some point. I will probably blink.
Richard Clark: Long birthday weekend! Mom is visiting, going to show her around town, take her on a giant tour boat, eat at a bunch of places, let her meet my girlfriend. I asked for Monday off since I’m turning 30 and would like to weep alone in my room. Instead my mom and a bunch of friends will be with me at a party. OK!
