Ready for the Weekend 7/6/2012

On this day in 1969, the misunderstood Australian musical western Ned Kelly, starring Mick Jagger, began filming. Yeah, it is like that. What are you doing this weekend?

Stu HorvathStu Horvath: If you need me, I will be playing my Illuminati blood mage in The Secret World. There is less tooth pain there and more Lovecraft references. Hit me up on the Daemon server – we’ll smear some zombies together.

Charles Francis Moran VIChuck Moran: This weekend I am going to exclusively play Xbox games, because it’s much cooler in the basement than the living room or the computer room. Friday night I might go see D-Generation at the Brighton Bar in Long Branch. Sunday morning, Stu Horvath will begrudgingly get in my car and we will go learn about Batman.

HamboneJohn McGuire: This weekend I’ll be working close to home again, catching up on comics and watching Anderson Silva make a dude eat his teeth.

IanIan Gonzales: This weekend I’m catching up on Brian K. Vaughn & Fiona Staples’ amazing sci-fi comic Saga. I also really want to see Moonrise Kingdom.

Don Becker: Sonnen. Silva.

Matt Marrone: Dating and Red Dead Redemption.

Ethan Sacks: I’m in LA set for an IMAX screening of The Dark Knight Rises before tomorrow’s press junket. Somewhere in between I will be eating at an In and Out Burger. I love life.

Ken Lucas: I make my return to the East Coast to bask in the heat.

Gus Mastrapa: I will be playing The Secret World. If you’re not a Templar tool join me on the Daemon server and I’ll induct you into my coven The Left Hand Path.

Brian BannenBrian Bannen: Fishing, playing the Amazing Spider-Man video game, finishing City of Thieves, and prepping for an annual Canadian golf trip.

Erik WeinbrechtErik Weinbrecht: This weekend my band Young Squire plays its first show in 2 years! If you’re not doing anything, come check us out Sunday, 7 p.m. at 10th Street Live in Kenilworth… It’ll be a hoot.

Mark Mariano: I wish I could be at the Kids Read Comics Celebration in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but I can’t. But this weekend next year I will. KidsReadComics.org.

Brian TaylorBrian Taylor: Spec Ops: The Line, Spelunky. Spelling bee?

SteveSteve Haske: I assume there will be some work and maybe Unwinnable cabal-ing of some kind. See you on the other side of the bottle, kids.

RichardRichard Clark: Because I took a vacation last weekend and didn’t get back until Wednesday, I’ll basically be catching up on work stuff this weekend. Fortunately part of that work is playing videogames, which should be entertaining enough. Also, I’d like to leave my house at some point.

SamSam Machkovech: Cheese detox after a week in Wisconsin. Finishing The Lost Code, a YA book written by my good friend Kevin Emerson.

GarrettGarrett Martin: Maybe I’ll return this NES and SNES I got? Maybe I’ll play like another 20 hours of Spelunky in hopes of actually making it to 3-1? Maybe I’ll just spend the entire weekend watching the last two seasons of The Wire instead? Maybe I’d actually set foot outside my house at some point if it wasn’t July in the South? Although I guess everybody’s basically living in the South now anyway, AKA global warming’s test kitchen. Anyway, there are like three birthday parties this weekend, only one of which is a Dr. Who-themed bash thrown by a 6-year-old. If I have to wear a costume I’ll be Tom Baker. Basically just Dylan from Blonde on Blonde, right?
