Ready for the Weekend 6/8/2012
June 8th, 2012 | By: Team Unwinnable
It is Friday – it is World Brain Tumor Day.
Stu Horvath: After I recover from the physical trials and tribulations of the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2012, I shall attend a screening of Prometheus, go on the Gus Mastrapa’s Los Angeles walking tour and dismantle the Unwinnable Earthquake Machine. And, just putting this out there now, it’s not a tumor.
Chuck Moran: This weekend I will return from E3. Then I think Sunday I am going to a dress rehearsal for the Tony awards show. Then I will probably play some videogames.
Michael Sheridan: Is heading into the wilds of New Jersey so my son can shoot some BBs, fire off a few arrows, climb a rock wall and hike through the woods with the rest of his Cub Scout pals.
John McGuire: Ocarina of Time 3D, indoor Mini-Golf and Prometheus in IMAX. Happy Friday, everybody!
Dave Trainer: Watching the Kings beat the Devils. Possibly enjoy a beverage and enjoy the weekend as much as possible. Also might play GTA4 again….
Don Becker: Vacation ends, but a visit from my best friend and his family begins! Also, crazy concert summer starts with three Marillion shows in a week.
Matt Marrone: On Sunday, my lone off day in a nine-day stretch, I will be taking in a Subway Series ballgame in the Bronx with pops.
Ethan Sacks: Spider-Man junket! My big chance to get some alone time with…Sally Field, only 30 years too late!
Ken Lucas: I am also returning home from E3 war-torn. I have also had so much Mexican food that I probably won’t eat it for a year.
Gus Mastrapa: I will return to Apple Valley to sleep, recoup and spend quality time with my wife.
Erik Weinbrecht: I’m going to spend the majority of my weekend watching the Wreck-It Ralph
trailer on loop when I’m not watching Prometheus. Boldly go forth, folks.
Mark Mariano: Two family parties and True Blood.
Brian Taylor: I am flying back to Pittsburgh from Los Angeles, my friend is picking me up at the airport, and we are going straight to see the Pirates vs. the Kansas City Royals. After the game, Boyz II Men is performing.
Steve Haske: I’ll be in L.A. till Saturday. So, L.A.
Chris Dahlen: My local comic shop is offering $10 for longboxes of comic books, no questions asked. I’m going to go through the three boxes of stuff I saved from the ‘80s and pull out the good stuff before I trade in the rest. I’m pretty sure there are some gems in there – U. S. 1, Atari Force, and the Marvel New Universe!
Katie Williams: E3 has ended, you say? You’re going HOME, you say? That’s cute. Some of
us don’t get to sleep. I’ll be at MLG this weekend, chasing an interview with a certain dashing eSports commentator and trying not to embarrass myself at Starcraft 2 in front of all the pros.
Richard Clark: This is, hopefully, the weekend that I get a new (used) car. Economy, nothing special, but I will be able to plug my iPhone into the stereo system! Also, wedding #2 for the summer. Oh…and hard apple cider.
Brendan Keogh: Watching one of the first Australian screenings of Indie Game: The Movie tonight, then bugging my brother all weekend to get on DayZ so we can continue our voyage north on the Great Canned Bean Hunt.
Sam Machkovech: I will spend the weekend bitching at Stu about how I was left out of this roundup.
