Ready for the Weekend 5/25/2012

  • The 25th of May is Towel Day, which celebrates the life and work of Douglas Adams. Thankfully, Towel Day was not on Thursday this year.

Stu HorvathStu Horvath: I’m going to let you in on a secret: we’re not done with Villains Week. We’ve got so much love of evil here at Unwinnable, we’ll be running stories all weekend. That means I will be in the laboratory while you’re cooking on the barbecue, but I’ll be busy making sure the mind control devices are in place and operational in all of your homes. I hope you’re ready for your new lives as minions.

Charles Francis Moran VIChuck Moran: I might spend the weekend trying to get the Arma 2, Day Z mod working. If I do get it working, I will hunt down and kill Brendan. I also might get the oil changed in the car. So many possibilities.

HamboneJohn McGuire: Celebrating Memorial Day Weekend at the hotel pool. Going to see Men in Black 3 and catching up on comics. Have a safe weekend, everybody.

IanIan Gonzales: This weekend will be filled with day drinking, barbecue and Matt Wagner’s Mage comics. Remember kids, Magic is green.

Don Becker: The unofficial start of summer means three things: barbecues, beer, and rehabbing sports injuries. I will experience all of that and more.

Matt Marrone: I’ll be in Connecticut for a blockbuster wedding at which I am giving a speech. God help us, every one.

Ethan Sacks: I’ll be trying to write a 2-page story on Prometheus without having seen the movie, without any of my interviews having told me anything remotely concrete and with Ridley Scott bowing out of an interview. In my room, no one can hear me scream. No, wait, apparently my neighbors can.

Ken Lucas: It’s my birthday next week, but I’ll probably be celebrating in Los Angeles. I am at the end of episode 1 of The Walking Dead game and after I finish that, it’s back to I Am Alive and Trials Evolution where I WILL beat all of Peter Rubin’s times.

Gus Mastrapa: I’m spending at least one day in the pool drinking as much as I can manage.

Dan ImperialeDan Imperiale: Singing songs all Memorial Day weekend. Songs about swimming, barbecuing, croquet.

Brian BannenBrian Bannen: Memorial Day means fishing, and in Maine that also means possibly shooting a turkey. Hopefully, I can celebrate by dropping a bearded bird.

Tim MucciTim Mucci: Picnics and podcasts.

Mark Mariano: I’ll be reading, drawing my next Happyloo book, and eating in the Poconos! Enjoy the weekend, all!

BrianTaylorBrian Taylor: I’m going to Chicago.

SteveSteve Haske: I am undecided on what to think of Max Payne so I’ll be playing more of that. Also probably cramming in a lot of Game of Thrones for an unrelated matter?

JennJenn Frank: I’m hanging out with BT in Chicago.

RichardRichard Clark: I’m a plus one at a wedding in a small town three hours away. I am weirdly excited. Also, I am going hiking!

BrendanBrendan Keogh: I’ll be ignoring all my writing deadlines and trying to survive for longer than a few hours in the Arma 2 mod, Day Z.

    1. Ian says:

Remember Marrone, the lyrics to "Everybody Hurts" are not appropriate for wedding speeches.

      1. @thebigm says:

You'll be relieved to know Everybody Hurts did not factor in. But you know me too well — I did mention R.E.M. in the speech, naturally.
