Ron Howard’s creepy-looking brother, Clint, was born today in 1959. Crispin Glover was also born today in 1964. What are you doing this weekend?
Stu Horvath: I will be editing Love Week. Tune in starting Monday!
Chuck Moran: Pizza, Fez, Heavy Rain, some records and The Cabin in the Woods.
John McGuire: This weekend I’ll be catching up on comics, crashing a wedding and exploring my fancy hotel in Buffalo. [Editor’s note: Avoid room 237]
Ian Gonzales: Shawn Dillon’s having a pizza party. Turtle Power!
Dave Trainer: This weekend I am looking forward to my buddy Shawn winning a pizza-eating contest, playing some pinball, and silently killing my enemies in Constantinople. Should be a good weekend.
Don Becker: Between the Fez soundtrack dropping today, the release of the new Rush single “Headlong Flight”, and a new album by Peter Hammill, my musical selections for the weekend are already taken care of. A friend is also trying to convince me to go see The Cabin In The Woods with him. I don’t like horror movies, but I do like social outings. Also I will endeavor to pass Stu and Brian Taylor on the Fez leaderboard. MOAR CUBEZ!
Matt Marrone: I’ve decided to buy expensive tickets to things and not go. It’s what all the cool kids are doing, apparently.
George Collazo: This weekend I will be watching UFC to see Rashad Evans beat Jon Bones Jones and also watching my new favorite show, The Aquabats Super Show! When I’m not vegetating on the couch, I’ll be listening to Charles Moran sing the same lines over and over as I edit his vocals takes on our new jam.
Ken Lucas: This is the first time in a while that I’ve had two days off in a row. Last night was movie night at a friend’s house and we watched Battle Royale and The Loved Ones. Tonight I celebrate the birthday of one of my friends. Saturday will be filled with bike riding and then I will mine the hell out of my town in Minecraft, for next week we will take on the dubious Ender Dragon.
Dan Imperiale:Going to the wedding of two philosophers. This is not a metaphor.
Mark Mariano: Selling comics and drawing funny pictures at the Pittsburgh Comic Con with Chris O>Matic! Maybe Stan Lee will buy a Flabbergast book!
Heather Sedlak: Seeing Beauty and the Beast as done by 10-year-olds. Adorable. Then, the final push towards the end of the semester.
Gia Grillo: Super awesome Pony-themed birthday for my adorable niece, Layla, who will be two years old! Going to check out The Cabin in the Woods with some friends before I catch wind of any super spoilers. One thing I absolutely won’t be doing is cooking a delicious mushroom meatloaf to be savored and enjoyed by anyone!
Michael Edwards: Going to see The Cabin in the Woods tonight – should be fun, since I’ve kept myself spoiler-free for the most part. Continuing to keep the wheels in motion for my impending move to another place in Brooklyn next month. Also doing some Record Store Day stuff tomorrow!
Sal Lucci: This weekend in Bloomington, Indiana, is “Little 500” (what the movie Breaking Away is about). I planned on trying to avoid the crowds of uber-drunk college kids and not driving at all but I forgot there are some shows I wanna see. Vacation Club is playing tonight – best band in Indiana these days (I don’t care what people think about Apache Dropout, even tho’ they’re my friends too). Tomorrow is Record Store Day and I plan on scorin’ free beer at my local wax shop. Also, I need to do some editing of an interview I did of the band The Hussy.
Chris Dahlen: I’m already scoping out the vinyl I’ll buy at Record Store Day. Aside from that, I might take the kid to the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation down in Waltham, Massachusetts, which has an amazing collection of old machines – church clock mechanisms, paper bag folders, lathes, Linotypes, watch parts, etc. They have a warehouse full of great old stuff, and you can touch almost any of it.
