Today in 1965 residents of Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, looked up in the sky and said, “DUDE, WTF WAS THAT!?” Rumor has it there is an Unwinnable Christmas party this weekend, too.
Stu Horvath: Starting Saturday, I will begin an odyssey of food, alcohol and fun that comes but once a year – my birthday. First, I will be cooking my not-yet-world-famous jambalaya for lunch. Then I will be having dinner with several lovely ladies at our local curry restaurant. After that is the Unwinnable Holiday Party and Book Release at the Loop Lounge. I plan on recovering Sunday with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Christmas decorating (those things go together, right?) before heading into the city for a steak dinner at Keens steakhouse, courtesy of the lovely ladyfriend. My ensuing coma will be deep, but, oh, so sweet.
Chuck Moran: This weekend I will probably stop by Record King in Hackensack for the 38th annual Record King Holiday Party. Probably going to go to a party, I’ll have some cake.
John McGuire: I’ll be at the Unwinnable Holiday Party this Saturday night at the Loop Lounge in Passaic Park, N.J. 10 p.m. – 3 a.m., 21+. You should go. It is gonna be a time.
Ian Gonzales: Like Hambone said, “I’ll be at the Unwinnable Holiday Party this Saturday night at the Loop Lounge in Passaic Park, N.J. 10 p.m. – 3 a.m., 21+. You should go. It is gonna be a time.”
Dave Trainer: This weekend I will going to see The Gaslight Anthem rip it, then follow that up with drinking and good times with my fellow Unwinnable comrades. Cheers.
Don Becker: I’ll be running a 6K (no, that’s not a typo) in Brooklyn and hitting up Unwinnable’s Christmas party at the Loop Lounge in scenic Passaic, N.J. tomorrow. In between, I hope to finish the last of my holiday shopping and put up my tree.
Matt Marrone: I won’t go into the details here, but one of my many upcoming activities this weekend elicited the following response from Stu Horvath: “You have just rocketed to the top of my list of incredibly uncool people.”
Ethan Sacks: Tintin screening Saturday. Spielberg interview Sunday. Spontaneous combustion by geekasm by later Sunday afternoon.
Ken Lucas: I too will be at the Unwinnable Holiday Party at the Loop Lounge.
Dan Imperiale: Taking a much-needed break from Skyrim to finish up applications for grad school. Had to leave town to get away from that damn game.
Brian Bannen: I will be making my way through the surprisingly engaging Hunger Games, plus enjoying a month of no graduate school classes. Time to catch up on reviews, read comics, and have Shawn T. kick my ass for a few more weeks.
Tim Mucci: My wife and I will be hosting our annual vegan holiday potluck dinner on Saturday.
Erik Weinbrecht: I’m still in California. Can I come home yet?
Mark Mariano: Christmas party tonight. O>Matics rock a FREE show at The Lamp Post in Jersey City on Saturday night, followed by the Unwinnable bash at the Loop Lounge. Sunday I’m cleaning my gutters and making a ham dinner. Yay!
Heather Sedlak: Unwinnable Holiday party! And Sunday for relaxing and writing.
Brian Taylor: I won’t be going to Kecksburg, Pennsylvania this weekend, which is ten miles from where I grew up. I will be roadie-ing for my friend’s band in Indiana, Pennsylvania (home of Jimmy Stewart!), hitting a local (BYOB!) arcade, and playing Knights of the Old Republic 2. And studying for finals.
