Do you get a prize for naming all the album covers you can recognize?

In the first panel I see

Aphex Twin, Liz Phair, In Utero, Smashing Pumpkins, and Goo. That hair whipping one is very familiar, but I can't place it.

    NOTES:

    • The exchange in the first panel took place in a record store in Ridgewood, NJ that closed long ago. The guys who worked there were sort of dickish to high school kids but in retrospect I'm sure we deserved it. On the other hand, you have to expect that kids will steal your used CD's if you put the used section right next to the door in a corner the employees can barely see.

    • The Soft Parade isn't a very good album, but it has a really nice gatefold illustration.

    • Reference for the third-to-last panel came from this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QCLOaTiGKM

Radiohead – The Bends is in there too. Having working in a record store, all those covers look familiar. Hating teenagers is also feeling familiar.

That's Rid of Me by PJ Harvey! She was whipping her hair back n' forth in 1993.

Having worked with Stu in said record store I can attest to Stu being an OG Angry Record Store Guy!
