Waking up is Hard to Do
November 20th, 2010 | By: Stu Horvath
This morning at around 8 o’clock, I was awakened by a series of loud booms.
I was up to a very late hour last night, first attempting to open my NAT (don’t ask. If you don’t already know what I am talking about, consider yourself lucky. If you do, you have my condolences.) so I could play Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood online with Chuck and then playing the single player campaign after Chuck gave up on waiting for me and went to sleep.
What I didn’t want to do this morning was wake up anywhere near 8 o’clock, but:
Boom.
Boom.
Boom.
It was loud and forceful, so much so that it rattled my windows. At the edge of it, I could also hear sirens. As I groped towards consciousness, my brain struggled to figure out what could be causing such a commotion. It did not settle on some kind of traffic accident or rubbish being thrown in a dumpster or even a series of explosions.
The first explanation that took root? Why, it must be a giant robot, of course.
Well done, brain.

I like that you posted about this.
