Keeping with the Star Wars theme today, I’d like to draw your attention to something our good friends at SEEN posted last week: silent movie Star Wars. Complete with dust and scratches, the high contrast clip depicts a B&W version of the climactic scene between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker at the end of The Empire Strikes Back, complete with dialogue cards and a new piano score. There have been a number of silent movie takes on the trilogy, but this is by far the best we’ve seen – despite the humor, the drama really isn’t diminished by the remix. This is definitely Star Wars for your Great Great Grand Pappy.
