My fellow Daily News geek Ethan Sacks interviewed Hellboy director Guillermo del Toro during NY ComicCon. At one point, del Toro revealed that Hellboy creator Mike Mignola couldn’t help but laugh hysterically at the mere mention of the words ‘monkey’ and ‘pants.’ Further, he suggested that something involving said words should be my lead off question in my Mignola interview the next day.

Predictably, Mignola had no idea what I was talking about. “It’s the third day of a big comic convention. I used up all my giggles by Friday night.”
